Cricut Explore: Seven on Saturday

2016 brings my new series Seven on Saturday. “Seven on Saturday” features files for the #CricutExplore.  Every Saturday I will post seven files that I created in the past week.  Screen shots and links to the files will be included.  You will get 365 files in a year!!!!!

  1. Craft room Organization labels

Organize your craft room with this great file.  Be sure and check out the cartridge “Home Organization” for more labels like this!  I ended up designing my own.  I wanted all the labels to have the same shape.   There were too many variations on the Home Organization file for me.  The font is from CTMH Artbooking.  You will need to change the font if you don’t own that cartridge.  Unflatten and then edit the font.  Be sure to flatten again after editing the font.

Over 50 Lip Tips!

I have a problem with lipstick or lip glosses bleeding beyond my lip line.  It is a problem that many ladies of a certain age deal with on a daily basis.     Here is a trick I have used for years.  I use lip liner all over my lip and then apply Dew Kiss.   I use Avon Ultra Luxury Lip Liner in Rosebud and then the Dew Kiss.   Color lasts all day and never bleeds beyond my lip line.
Here is the Dew Kiss Lip Dew product I use.   It is frequently on sale for 99 cents each.  You cannot beat that!
Here is the Avon Ultra Luxury Lip Liner.   It is available in the following colors: Chocolate, Neutral, Shimmer Mauve, Deep Plum, Rosebud and Wild Berry.
You could also use Glimmersticks if you prefer.  It is available in the following colors.
Coral
Mystery Mauve
True Red
Clear
Pink Bouquet
Red Brick
Perfect Plum

Chocolate
Nude
Peach Envy
Pink Cashmere
Simply Spice

Dorm Decorations

My son is a R.A. at his dorm.  He is responsible for making dorm door decorations and name tags.   He made Penguins for the dorm name decor.   He wants cupcakes for birthday decor.  This is what we came up with.

I used Close To My Heart Tommy Paper Packet to create the cupcakes.  I also used the Cricut Create A Critter cartridge and my Gypsy to create the cupcakes.

Cricut Explore: Home Organization Cartridge

I discovered this amazing cartridge in the Design Space software this morning.  This is an amazing cartridge.  This cartridge will aid you in organizing everything in your home and office.  I plan on using them in my pantry and craft room.  My closets are next!   I am using the labels as a guide to create my own though.  I want my labels to be uniform.  I am designing mine today to label everything in my craft room!  My goal is to keep it organized so I can find and use everything!   Here is a screen shot of what I have designed so far. What do you think? Would you use them?   What words would you include on your labels?  I actually did a search in design space for labels.  I filtered to multiple layers and found this image.  I flattened it and then added my text.  I flattened again.  I will print these on printable vinyl.  I can remove that if I change my mind.  I have attached my informational video to this post as well.  Have fun!  Let me know what you design.  Comment and leave a link to your project!  I will visit your site and comment too!   Challenge yourself to make labels and organize your life this year!  I will share this file once I finish it.  I will also show you the cut out labels.  I need to work on the design more.  If you are wondering about the dark grey rectangle, that will not be cut.  That is a guide.  You can place your images in a rectangle sized to 5.78 inches by 8.28 inches.  Everything in that rectangle should print with the Cricut Explore.   You want to make sure and turn off the rectangle before printing!  I have learned that lesson the hard way.  I will make a quick video showing what I do before printing.  This will save you some trouble.  Don’t forget to comment and leave a link to your post with your label design!  I want to see it!  You can purchase the printable vinyl HERE.

Let’s Grow This Group Bigger Than The State of Texas

I have a group on Facebook called Texas Cricut Explore Club.  It focuses on learning how to use the Cricut Explore.   My goal is to grow this group in 2016.  We currently have 30 members in the group.  At first, I limited the group to people who reside in the state of Texas.  I decided that it was time to open the group up to anyone.   This month we have a challenge going on!  I want to grow the group to 500 by January 31, 2016.  I believe we can do it.

Here is the link to the group TEXAS CRICUT EXPLORE CLUB.  Invite your friends and let’s have fun.   I have an event going on https://www.facebook.com/events/330269440430065/

You will find challenges for each day in January!  You can win prizes by participating!
